Biobank Marketing and Communications Manager- CVM (Remote)APPLY The Cornell Veterinary Biobank (CVB) team at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), is seeking a mission driven Marketing and Communications Manager. CVB is an ISO 20387 accredited Core Resource at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine providing biological material and associated data to the research community worldwide. It is also the home of the Dog Aging Project (DAP) Biobank; the DAP is an innovative initiative that brings together a collaborative, interdisciplinary, nationwide team of researchers to carry out the most ambitious canine science health study in the world, to improve our understanding of the aging process in both dogs and humans. In this role, you will serve as the primary lead on marketing and communications for the CVB, with a part-time commitment to the DAP Biobank operations.Responsibilities include:Strategic MarketingDevelop and execute an integrated marketing strategy that will increase visibility and sustainability of the CVB and DAP Biobanks, including a pre- and post-plan to assess impact.Continuous communication with CVB and DAP leadership to reach agreement on a plan and success metrics.Web DevelopmentDevelop web resources providing information and access to the CVB and DAP Biobanks.Provide guidance on marketing-related aspects of the CVB web presence and collaborate with stakeholders on the optimization and development of web content.Social Media and Communication ManagementManagement of the CVB and DAP Biobanks social media accounts, including implementation of editorial calendar, content development, audience engagement, analytics, and campaign strategy (organic and paid).Organize and facilitate communication with potential CVB stakeholders (clients, donors/funders, users/researchers).Collaborate with partners including DAP and various Cornell social media accounts for cross-promotion opportunities and brand/messaging alignment.Lead GenerationDevelop and execute integrated marketing plans that will consider and potentially include a range of vehicles/approaches including but not limited to direct mail, email marketing, conference marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) to drive qualified leads.Cultivate leads and identify plans to convert those leads to action.Content DevelopmentCreate, maintain, and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, presentations, blogs, and videos, targeted towards various stakeholders.Assist CVB leadership in the creation of progress reports for stakeholders.Partnership marketing with external collaborators for the creation of mutually beneficial marketing materials.Public Relations ManagementPrepare and edit materials, including speaking engagement abstract and presentations, and other publications for internal and external audiences.Manage the CVB user feedback survey program, including analysis of feedback data.Marketing and Communication EducationProvide guidance and expertise to the CVB, DAP and College of Veterinary Medicine on the development of marketing and communication training programs aimed at scientific, research, and clinical professionals.Business Model GenerationContribute to the update of the CVB business plan to support its financial, operational, and social sustainability goals.Perform other duties as requested.This position offers flexibility to work remotely but will require periodic on-site collaboration and travel to the office for team synergy. Proximity to campus is preferred to facilitate seamless in-person meetings and teamwork.This is a one-year term position with possibility of renewal based on funding and performance.
