Experienced picture framer, must have minimum of 5 years experience

Well-respected framing establishment in the Hudson Valley
You will work side-by-side with the owner who has been framing for almost 40 years
Full time (38 hours/week) - Tues through Sat
Saturdays are a must
Duties will include:
Daily workings of studio - answering phone/taking clear messages, garbage and recycling maintenance, cleaning/vacuuming as needed, keeping customer and work areas tidy, accepting deliveries (from UPS/FEDEX, distributors) and checking in materials/delivery
Client interaction - greeting with friendliness, assisting with design and technical advice, handling pick-ups, processing payments
Handling client work (posters, original art, maps, textiles, etc, any and all types) - with utmost care and respect
THE FRAMING WORK - hinging or appropriate housing technique for item being framed, cutting mats (experience with computerized mat cutter a plus but willing to train), working with wall-cutter (cutting glass, plexiglas, backing boards etc), building frames (knowledge of joining machinery), fitting with care and consistency along with proper hardware
A framer has to be prepared to lift and move heavy materials
A framer stands most of the workday - you must be accepting of this
A good framer is a bit of a perfectionist - you like to get things right
