We are seeking a technician to join our fun, fast-paced work environment here at American Tire & Motorsports. Experience is required for this position; references are not, however they are a plus. Our ideal candidate would be an individual who has good communication skills, is determined and self-driven.
What we are looking in our Suspension Technician:
- Ability to manage time, priorities, and down time efficiently and independently
-WE MAINTAIN AND STRIVE FOR A CLEAN PROFESSIONAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
-Excellent communication skills
-Excellent troubleshooting skills
-Excellent Problem Solving and Customer Service skills
-Ability to operate independently and as a team member
Requirements:
-Knowledge of Internal combustion and Compression engines
-knowledge of 4x4 and AWD systems
-Knowledge of regearing
-Some or all knowledge on lifting, lowering, and general modification procedures
-Wiring knowledge
-Install accessories
-Provide specialized services including alignments and repair and installation of brakes, struts and shocks
-FABRICATION KNOWLEDGE IS A PLUS
- Installation of suspension systems such as springs, anti-roll bars, dampers and alignment accessories.
-Knowledge and use of automotive & general diagnostic shop tools.
-Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
-Ability to use/read calipers, micrometers, height gages a PLUS
-Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs.)
-Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to work. PUNCTUALITY IS A MUST!
