Custom cabinet and millwork shop in the Rondout Valley looking to add a skilled fabrication lead to our small team.
We are a fairly young company growing into our own as a design & build shop, so this is a great place to work for someone who wants to help shape the future of a growing creative operation. You'll work on fabricating new and exciting designs week to week, solve problems within the building process, share and learn skills among fellow craftsmen, and be a part of a tight knit team of friendly and artful people (and one shop dog).
An ideal person for this position might have some of the following:
-considerable experience in woodworking/cabinetry, wood finishing
-a compulsive and exacting attention to detail and quality
-a consistently positive attitude, willingness to teach and to learn, and ability to work well with (and potentially lead) a team on executing the many tasks within complex building projects
-proficiency in reading and fabricating from shop drawings, CAD models, etc
-BONUS: CNC experience
Also it is probably best if you live reasonably close to our shop address (we are just outside the glittering city lights of downtown Kerhonkson) and are willing to travel on occasion for installs within a two hour radius (including NYC).
This position is ideally full-time, but for the right candidate, scheduling flexibility may be considered.
