CAMP MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE
About the Role: HFH Summer Camps is seeking a dedicated and experienced Camp Maintenance Associate to join the HFH Summer Camps team. As a Camp Maintenance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our camp by ensuring a safe and clean environment for our camps community. This is a part-time position ranging from 7-21 hours per week, for the months of March to August of 2025. The Camp Maintenance Associate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs, grounds keeping, and maintaining safety and compliance needs at our two campsites. The Camp Maintenance Associate will also be responsible for leading our larger maintenance and housekeeping workdays.

Responsibilities Include:
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on camp facilities, equipment, and grounds.
Address plumbing, electrical, and carpentry needs as they arise.
Conduct daily inspections of buildings, cabins, and shared spaces to ensure safety and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
Preform basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and emptying out buildings as needed.
Grounds keeping:
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of campgrounds, including landscaping, mowing, and trimming.
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from all camp areas.
Ensure walking paths, trails, and outdoor activity spaces are safe and accessible.
Monitor and manage camp tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage and use.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and operations.
Assist with emergency preparations, including fire safety and severe weather readiness.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any key issues to the camp administration.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum two years of experience in general maintenance.
Must have knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall repairs.
Familiar with the proper use of power tools.
Knowledge and ability to utilize computers and related technology efficiently.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 60 pounds.
Be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 9 hours).
Capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
Availability to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to pass a background check, physical exam, and be up to date on all required immunizations.
PAY:
$21.70 Hourly
