Are you a handy and skilled individual passionate about agriculture, land management, and sustainable living? We're seeking one reliable Farm and Estate Assistant and Seasonal Interns to join our team!
This unique opportunity enables the right candidates to farm, learn how to farm, and keep a portion of what we grow while getting paid.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and support while learning new skills from the owner. Light computer work, social media, making deliveries, pick-ups, and other assigned duties may be assigned during working hours.
These multifaceted positions offer flexible hours and require various skills.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Light office tasks such as record keeping, schedule coordination, data entry, filing, mail handling, and administrative duties as needed
General property management and maintenance, including basic furniture assembly, light carpentry, barn sweeping, installations, cleaning, painting, and repair
Basic landscaping, trimming, tilling, fam tasks, and pruning
Assisting with the production, harvesting, packaging, and sanitation (flowers, mushrooms, and tending to the soil, animals, herbs and vegetables)
Watering plants and feeding when owners are away
Ordering supplies and running general errands
Organizing, bottle labeling, and filling
Inventory checks and restocking of sellable products
Learning to run e-commerce platforms like Shopify and supporting sales to and at pop-up markets
Providing social media, event production, sales, marketing, and customer service support
Contributing to the day-to-day management and operations of the farm estate
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Interest in agriculture is a must
Background in or strong desire to learn about farming and land management (previous experience working on a farm strongly preferred)
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability
Vehicle and valid driver's license
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Capability to lift 50 pounds
Reliable
Customer service experience
Strong attention to detail, dedication to quality, and organizational abilities
Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions
Compensation & Benefits:
Varies per experience +
Bonus: a percentage of what we grow together. Optional additional plot of land, training, and produce.
Housing may be available for a full-time caretaker/farm manager in the future. Tremendous opportunities for growth and increased responsibility within the farm estate.
