In the hills above Tannersville, NY, in the Great Northern Catskills, Deer Mountain Inn is a classic turn-of-the-century construction featuring six stunning rooms, four standalone cabins, and a complete, rustic, upstate dining experience. Just over two hours from NYC, our 168 wooded acres offer stunning views of the Catskills and an enchanting environment to relax, explore, and recharge.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Innkeeper to join our team and assist with our front desk operations. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations at the front desk, including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guests' needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure all rooms are immaculate and well-maintained.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing emails, answering phone calls, and maintaining guest records.
- Oversee the presentation of public areas to ensure they are clean and welcoming.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the front desk and other areas of the inn.
- Resolve any issues that arise, ensuring guests leave with a positive experience.
- Work under Hotel Manager and General Manager to maintain service standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality, especially in a hotel or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using hotel PMS software and general office software.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Flexible with work hours, including weekends and holidays.
