Phōs is a Greek American farm to table restaurant opening in the heart of Catskill, NY in May of 2025. The chef is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has been working in the Hudson Valley Restaurant scene for 18 years. We are looking to hire a full-time General Manager to manage our highly skilled team!
The general manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant’s day to day operation, including managing staff, maintaining high levels of guest service, and collaborating on the beverage program as seen fit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a history and comfort of working in a leadership role, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with similar restaurant/hospitality fields in management.
They will need to be comfortable in a leadership role, with strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of POS systems and scheduling software.
Knowledge of basic computer work such as answering/ writing emails, printing menus, and basic spreadsheets
Job Requirements:
Hiring and training staff. The GM will set the standard for excellent service and teamwork in a positive work environment. They will be managing the bar and dining team. They will manage the FOH scheduling.
Operational Oversight- The GM will oversee day to day operations and make sure it is running smoothly according to standard. They will be overseeing an 80 seat dining room with a 14 seat bar. They will be setting up reservations and seating chart arrangements. They will field calls for catering as well.
Guest Satisfaction, They will be in charge of rectifying any issues with guests. They will ensure guest satisfaction and will address any concerns or feedback. They will provide exceptional service.
Inventory and Ordering- They will oversee the bar managers ordering and manage inventory and ordering necessary to Front of House.
