Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Restorer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for restoring and preserving furniture, with a strong background in various carpentry and restoration techniques. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The Furniture Restorer will be responsible for assessing furniture pieces, planning restoration projects, and executing repairs to bring items back to their original beauty.
Responsibilities
Restore and repair antique furniture, paintings, metal, and ceramic pieces using appropriate materials and techniques.
Assess condition, plan restoration approach, and execute with precision.
Collaborate with company leadership on design goals while working independently on projects.
Provide input on materials (company pays for all materials) and source restoration solutions as needed.
Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all work.
Assess the condition of furniture pieces and determine necessary restoration techniques.
Carry out heavy lifting and moving of furniture items during the restoration process.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Document restoration processes and maintain records of materials used for each project.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in the restoration industry, with skills that may include:
Proven experience in antique restoration (portfolio required).
Experience in woodworking, painting/artwork restoration, metal repair, and/or ceramics restoration.
Must have own tools; company provides all materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Self-starter able to work with minimal oversight.
Passion for creative problem-solving and historical preservation.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
