The Site Leader is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Healthy Kids Extended Day Program Site.JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-ExemptREPORTS TO:Multi Site DirectorJOB DATES:Follows School District Calendar.PAY:$20.00 per hourJOB SUMMARY:Assist Multi-Site Director on certain staff management issues and function as the designated person in charge when the Multi- Site Director is not on site. Regularly meet with Multi-Site Director to stabilize the program, grow your enrollment, make decisions, solve problems, and strategize on immediate issues with a one day-one month time horizon.JOB CONSISTS OF:Direct hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which include fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.Assist Multi-Site Director with certain grant management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.Assist Multi-Site Director with increasing the enrollment and offerings in your program location.Work with Executive Director on administrative tasks that promote growthAct as the designated person in charge when the Multi-Site Director is not on site.When needed, travel to sub and fill in at a nearby program location.Regularly meet with the Multi Site Director to make decisions, solve problems, and strategize on immediate issues.Provide continual communication with parents and family members via the Brightwheel App.Observe OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policiesProvide warm, nurturing care for children during the hours of operationRequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:To be qualified as a director, a person must possess either:A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.ORA School-age Childcare Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age;ORAssociate degree in child development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.QUALIFICATIONS:Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.Must be medically fit to perform all job duties, free of communicable disease including TB, and provide documentation from a licensed physician within the past year.Warm, friendly, caring, upbeat personality. Exceptional people skills in dealing with young children, parents, and staff.
