Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining an accurate record of the company's business transactions and financial position. The position will involve duties such as preparing financial statements and reports, performing account analyses and reconciliations, maintaining general ledgers, implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded.Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

Prepare company financial statements monthly and at year-end.

Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.

Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s financial performance.

Work with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.

Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

Assists in the production of the annual budget and forecasts.

Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.

Provide a system of management cost reports.

Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, etc. when necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required,

5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.

Proficiency with accounting software, MS Excel, and other business-related software.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

High attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
