Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Manufacturing industry located in Hauppauge, New York, United States. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for executing tasks related to accounts payable, account reconciliation, and data entry. This role requires you to work with various software, including QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications and maintain accurate records. Conduct regular check runs and ensure that all payments are made in a timely manner. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Carry out invoice processing tasks, including matching, coding, and batching of invoices. Regularly update and maintain customer credit records. Handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable and ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date. Use software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks efficiently. Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable and provide excellent customer service. Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate action when necessary. Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations related to accounts payable. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, and Coding Invoices Demonstrated ability in Data Entry and Invoice Processing Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and QuickBooks Enterprise Previous experience in a Manufacturing sector would be advantageous Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team High level of attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within accounting Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
