Busy Restaurant/Tavern in Chestertown N.Y. is now hiring a lead cook and other cook positions. We also have an opening for a daytime prep cook.
Must be dependable, clean and organized and able to multitask.
We are not looking for someone to reinvent the wheel, our customers love our food. But we are always open to new ideas.
Very laid-back work environment but when we get busy we need to get busy.
Must be able to work well with the entire staff. We are like family here. Almost all our staff have been here over 10 years. one is coming up on 30 years.
No multiple bosses. Just One and that is the owner.
The owner has been a chef for 30 years. You would be working for someone that understands your needs.
This possition must be self motivated as I cant be in the kitchen all the time but jump in when needed I also manage the bar as well as a small hotel on the first floor of the building.
I pay my cooks well for the type of food we do because I want cooks that care.
