POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Service Technician provides support to patient service departments. He/She safely transports patients to and from service areas, and utilizes established communication tools such as the Ticket to Ride during patient transports. Performs EKG tracings, retrieves and delivers documents, supplies, equipment, specimens, and assist nursing personnel with other direct and indirect patient care activities. Actively participates as team member in unit, departmental, and organizational activities as assigned. Cleans and redistributes transport equipment such as wheelchairs and stretchers to the appropriate units.

High school education or equivalent.
LICENSE:
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current BLS certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
CPI within 6 months of hire
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
Customer service experience, preferably in a health care setting.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
Successful completion of EKG tracing, medical record retrieval process and patient one-to-one trainingwithin the first month.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
Salary Range: $16.74-$17.59
