Applicants will only be contacted if a position becomes available.Vacancy Announcement Position Information Campus Title Student Teaching Supervisor Department School of Education Position Summary SUNY Geneseo and The Office of Field Experiences of the Shear School of Education seek clinical faculty to supervise and mentor undergraduate teacher candidates in student teaching internships within 50 miles of Geneseo.Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and applicants will be contacted as needed. New supervisors are hired when needed to supervise teacher candidates in specific programs [Early Childhood, Childhood, Special Education (grades 1 – 6), English, World Languages (Spanish & French), Math, Science and Social Studies].In each quarter, student teaching supervisors lead an initial meeting with teacher candidates, conduct a minimum of three formal observations of each candidate’s teaching, complete a midway and final evaluation with each candidate and their cooperating teacher; guide candidates in completing required assignments and assess their work; and provide two to three seminars for student teachers. Student teaching supervisors are expected to travel to host schools, support cooperating teachers, and must provide their own transportation. Mileage is reimbursed at state rates.Required Qualifications Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

State-issued teaching certification in SOE -offered program

Minimum of 5 years experience in K12 schools – may be a combination of teaching and administrative experience

Must demonstrate a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive teaching environment.

Preferred Qualifications
