Promotes Clinical Laboratory department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
Leads the activities of assigned Clinical Laboratory team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
Oversees timely filling of all laboratory requests.
Monitors supplies of reagents to ensure adequacy at all times.
Supervises Blood Bank staff, including training, discipline.
Authorizes overtime as needed to ensure efficient workflow and adequate coverage.
Responsible for ongoing evaluation of job performance.
Oversees timely filling of all transfusion requests.
Prepare blood or blood products for patient use and reports to the leadership on a timely basis related to technical and professional problems.

Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
Experience in Cancer lab is preferred
