Construction Project Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our passionate and driven team in Victor, NY. This leadership role requires proven and quality-oriented general construction experience, strong problem-solving skills, as well as crew and jobsite management experience. A complete understanding of the building process, project scopes, as well as site management of high-performance, high-craft custom home jobsites is required.

This is a year-round, full-time position with great benefits that include medical, paid holidays, PTO, 401K plan contribution, dental, and vision.

Required Experience:

5+ years residential construction experience.

Advanced knowledge of building sites, construction planning/organization, and job-site management including

submission processes to municipal authorities, permitting, and licensing.

Exceptional problem-solving skillset including job-site management, tool and equipment maintenance, and supply

management/ordering.

Advanced knowledge of building materials and best installation practices.

Advanced knowledge and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Proven ability to lead and direct carpenters, builders, and trades people.

Exceptional math and problem-solving skills.

Proficient knowledge of MS Office suite.

Proficient in using computer software programs for project management and reporting.

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Valid NYS Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Project Estimating, planning and initiation to include:

o Defining project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.

o Developing and managing project schedules and resource allocation.

o Developing and managing project budgets and quality standards for all sites.

o Identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.

o Vetting and obtaining estimates from sub-contractors and vendors as part of the estimating process.

Project execution and control to include:

o Managing day-to-day activities of construction projects - ensuring adherence to project plans & schedules.

o Monitoring and communicating project progress.

o Coordination, and allocation of resources to ensure cost control and adherence to financial guidelines. Including

ensuring all employees that are working on a project are costing their labor to the correct categories.

o Delegation of responsibilities and projects to crew and contractors.

o Resolving project challenges, conflicts and changes.

Team leadership and collaboration to include:

o Fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

o Supervising subcontractors and site supervisors.

o Collaboration with clients, vendors and internal departments to ensure a timely project delivery.

o Daily communication with project site supervisors, foreman, and team leadership to relay progress on assigned tasks and any associated issues.

Project documentation and reporting to include:

o Maintaining accurate project documentation including contracts, sub-agreements, and change orders.

o Routine project communication with management / sub-contractors, and other appropriate parties of the jobsite

needs, status reports, quality reports, and any issues that need resolution.
