Part Time Black Walnut Harvest Support

Fall seasonal / part-time job working on our farm to help bring in our local 2025 black walnut harvest. This mostly-outdoors job includes a minimum of 10 hrs/wk work, a start date in September, and flexible scheduling (no less than 2 and no more than 4 weekdays, shifts between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:30 pm, a negotiable shift length of between 4 and 6 hours). Black walnuts are our native NYS walnut and we are working to make sure this native wild food crop does not go to waste. Tasks include walnut receiving and processing and may include nutshell processing or walnut gathering. Because our black walnuts are dropped off at our site by a network of community growers, this job is a good fit for someone who likes active work outdoors and likes interacting with the community. Hourly wage is $16.00/hr, previous work experience a plus, no experience with farming or black walnuts necessary. Successful applicants must be occupationally qualified to perform the duties of the job. Driver's license / I-9 required.
