Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our Global Digital Solutions Team. The Software Engineer plays a key role in the end-to-end implementation and support of impactful software solutions that drive value for Precipart. The Software Engineer is a critical member of the Digital Solutions team and works together with the other team members to achieve their shared goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Understand and uphold Precipart’s data security regulations while providing end users access to data and exploring new internal and external software initiatives.

Work closely with the Digital Solutions team and end users across the business to support existing software as well as troubleshoot and resolve any arising issues.

Design, develop, test, release, and maintain a variety of software solutions including but not limited to web and desktop applications, system integrations, reports and analytics, and enterprise level software extensions.

Architect databases and extract data from various sources.

Gather detailed requirements and propose solutions for arising business needs.

Learn and follow various digital procedures including but not limited to change management, software testing and validation, and software development life cycle.

Manage project activities, resources, and communications on assigned efforts.

Create and update documentation for new and existing software and processes.

Gain an understanding of Precipart’s company structure and business processes to assist in conceiving and providing optimal solutions.

Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or similar field, or comparable experience and portfolio.

Experience programming in JavaScript (React and NodeJS).

Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.

Experience using GitHub source control.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Detail oriented, reliable, and collaborative.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

Experience working with:

Business intelligence platforms

PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases

Data integration tools (Talend a plus)

REST APIs.

Cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform a plus).

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Infor products.

Manufacturing environment.

PAY RANGE: $70,000 to $75,000
