Location: Farmingdale, NY Category: Professional Posted On: Thu Dec 19 2024 Job Description: The Associate Director of Academic Services is responsible for the overall development and delivery of instructional programs at the LIEOC. The Associate Director oversees a broad array of programs including English to Speakers of Other Languages, High School Equivalency Preparation, College Preparation, Allied Health Certification Programs, and workforce development courses in the fields of business and technology. The Academic Services Associate Director will have the following responsibilities:
Hiring, evaluation, and supervision of all LIEOC faculty members (including tenured/non-tenured faculty, adjunct professors, instructional technologists, and tutors).
Provide faculty and professional staff with the opportunity for professional development and/or retraining to enhance instructional delivery and ensure program relevancy and viability.
Provide overall direction and supervision for development and maintenance of quality educational programs that respond to workforce, economic, academic, and community needs.
Submit, review, revise, and maintain approved curriculum.
Create course offering brochure and corresponding Banner schedule for each semester, ensuring coverage of classes for in house, virtual, and satellite courses.
Assist faculty in the use of Brightspace for instruction.
Oversee ordering, review, maintenance, and inventory of instructional materials including textbooks and web-based educational platforms.
Oversee and implement relevant instructional support services and enrichment activities to enhance student development and reinforce academic/workforce development.
Yearly completion of SUNY Non-Credit Instructional Activity Survey.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in a related field.
At least five years of experience in education.
At least three years of administrative experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctoral credentials in a related field.
