Demonstrates knowledge of NYS graduation and CDOS requirements.
Assist in the supervision of program participants at their various work and/or work sites maintained by the program.
Assists in the development of realistic jobs and/or training opportunities for students.
Assist in matching job-ready participants with positions available in the public or private sector.
Disseminate information to students regarding job opportunities, training, or other agency programs. Attend on-the-job and special training sessions, study appropriate materials related to the conduct of local employment and training programs.
Carries out all other duties as assigned.
Job QualificationsValid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification; must possess at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant Certificate
Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
TCI is required for all Special Education teaching assistant positions.
The teaching assistant must be physically able and willing to meet the academic, emotional, and physical needs of all students within the classroom.
CDL license may be required.
