Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR MAIN FUNCTION: Provides support to recruiting and operational functions in the Human Resources Department. Primary point of contact for all employees entering the organization through onboarding process. Reports to Human Resources Manager. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supports HR department operations in various duties which may include maintenance and organization of all Job Descriptions, processing departmental invoices according to budget coding, coordinating all functions related to the 90-day and annual performance evaluation process (e.g. review for proper completion, past due notification communication, entry into HRIS, guidance to management for incomplete evaluations, etc.), or serving as primary point of contact for non-provider employee immigration needs. 2. Coordinates onboarding process for newly hired or rehired employees including coordination of new hire paperwork and occupational medicine appointments, guides employee through proper completion of new hire paperwork, reviews benefit eligibility, completes required regulatory documents in accordance with state and federal law, and ensures new hire is compliant with Arnot Health policies prior to start date.
Responsible for support of recruitment such as accurate internal or external job postings, scheduling interviews and itineraries with candidates and appropriate staff members, and communication with candidates throughout recruitment process as requested by recruiters.

Is responsible for reference checking according to the procedures established by the department. Including prints out background checks for the SexOffender.com site, the Office of the Inspector General site, Excluded Parties List System, NYS Office of Medicaid Inspector General, the NYS Nurse Aide Registry site, and Credential Verifications. Checks the monthly OIG report for NY and PA listings against our current employees.
Creates and maintains employment files for employees and contract personnel. Assist with regulatory agency employment file audits.
Serves as a point of contact between Education, Volunteer Services, and the recruiters to assist with an accurate orientation listing. Ensures proper documentation related to system orientation and/or self-study orientation is received and placed in employment file.

Prepares agreements, internal response/regret letters, correspondence letters, and any other communication as needed.
Assists with organization of job fairs along with recruiters and maintains a consistent supply of giveaway, marketing material, etc.

Performs customer services functions by promptly answering employee or candidate requests and questions. Communicates policies and benefits to prospective and employed personnel of Arnot Health.
Actively participates in department or organization projects as assigned.
Maintains and updates HR policies.
Serves as backup for the HR Receptionist/Assistant.
Is responsible for attending all annual mandatory educational programs as required by position.

EDUCATION:
Associate's Degree required. Equivalent experience in a similar role in combination with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1-3 years experience in Human Resources related field required. Experience with basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) REQUIREMENTS:
No CPR required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Routine office jobs. Flow of work intermittent. Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
EXPOSURE CATEGORY:
Category III. No exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. And Category I tasks are not a condition of employment.
