Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in EDGEWOOD, New York. As a part of our team, you will focus on handling accounts payable and managing a backlog of invoices. Your role will require a significant amount of in-office work and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Efficiently process accounts payable invoices Resolve any issues related to accounts payable Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions Monitor the backlog of accounts payable invoicing and take necessary actions to resolve it Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficiency in the accounts payable process Handle inquiries related to accounts payable from both internal and external sources Adhere to all financial policies and procedures in relation to accounts payable Assist in other ad hoc duties as required within the accounts payable function. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail Ability to handle high volumes of invoices Good organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work as part of a team High degree of accuracy and focus on quality output Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
