Process Characterization Engineer (Micro)

Regeneron is currently looking for a Process Characterization and Technology Engineer in the Process Sciences Downstream Department. The Process Characterization and Technology Engineer will join the Downstream Investigations Team with a focus on Process Microbiology. Process Characterization and Technology Engineers will lead and execute lab-based studies to characterize manufacturing operations and/or technology. Process Characterization and Technology Engineers may support all phases of projects from research and feasibility studies through implementation into commercial manufacturing processes.In this role, a typical day might include the following:

Apply engineering principles to design, execute, document, and present on small-scale experiments to improve process knowledge on cell culture, chromatographic, or filtration processes.

Develop a fundamental understanding of microbiological impacts to the manufacturing processes.

Identify, develop, and implement best in class technologies for microbiological detection and characterization in manufacturing.

Perform microbial related lab testing including bioburden and endotoxin assays

Support laboratory activities (buffer preparation, instrument calibration, etc.).

Analyze data using a combination of statistics, engineering principles, and other techniques to gain insights into manufacturing process performance and control.

Apply engineering knowledge in support of process troubleshooting and risk assessment.

Automate laboratory processes and data analysis.

Review technical documents and reports for content, formatting, and data consistency prior to document approval.

Present study findings at intra and interdepartmental meetings.

Support and participate in laboratory safety/compliance/data integrity evaluations.

Have a solid understanding of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

To be considered for the Process Characterization and Technology Engineer you must be willing and able to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm and occasional off-shift or weekend work as needed. You must have a BS in Engineering or related field; Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, preferred.

Associate Process Characterization & Technology Engineer: 0-2 years of experience

Process Characterization & Technology Engineer: 2+ years of experience

Sr Process Characterization & Technology Engineer: 5+ years of experience

Experience with bioreactor, cell culture, microbial fermentation, and cGxP is preferred. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.#LI-MB1Does this sound like you?
