DescriptionPosition Overview: The AOBH Assistant Program Supervisor (APS) is a member of the agency’s management team and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the AOBH. The AOBH APS is responsible for supporting the program supervisor with the direct and consistent supervision and professional development of all Youth Care Specialists. The APS supports the program supervisor with hiring, training, delegating, and supporting Youth Care Specialist to carry out the functions of the jobs. The APS is expected to establish and maintain a team approach in carrying out treatment and direct care services. The APS supports the program supervisor to ensure that all policies and procedures that are required by our stakeholders, and our oversight agencies are met. The APS is responsible for collaborating with leadership in evaluating internal procedures and enhancing protocols to best serve the changing needs of our youth and their families. The APS is required to attend weekly DBT/ITM skills trainings and ensure the implementation of the Integrated Treatment Model. The APS will also ensure that all Youth Care Specialist are compliant with DBT/ITM trainings and implement the treatment model in the milieu. The APS will be required to regularly participate in appropriate trainings in Human Trafficking, CSEC, and Trauma Informed practices. The APS is responsible for engaging in activities that would promote the growth, stability, and safety of the AOBH. The APS will coordinate activities to provide a normative experience for our youth while placed in our care. The APS is responsible for the timely reporting of incidents and reviewing the efficacy and appropriateness of interventions. The APS will ensure the safety and maintenance of the building and grounds of the AOBH. The APS will also ensure compliance of our program record keeping such as the maintenance of staff case notes, vehicle logs, PYA/ILS logs, supervisory logs, shift log, shift reports, MAR, etc. The APS will ensure the delivery of culturally competent services. The APS will have Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities to ensure appropriate program oversight during off hours. This position is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.Position Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

A minimum of one-year CSEC and two years socio-therapy experience at The Children’s Village, or similar experience at another residential treatment center or equivalent childcare setting.

A “strong” performance evaluation rating.

Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, considering the varying clinical needs of each child.

Development of programs that have enriched the treatment milieu.

Ability to conduct program evaluation.

Written documentation must be clear and appropriate.

Bi-lingual Spanish, preferred.

Must have and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.
