Director of Accounting

Description We are in need of a Director of Accounting to establish, manage, and lead finance function for our client based in Cooperstown, New York. This role will facilitate the development and implementation of financial objectives, strategies, and tactics, ensuring efficient operations and financial viability.Responsibilities: Develop and implement objectives, strategies, and tactics for the establishment of a network finance function Coordinate with subsidiary financial leads to establish an annual work plan for the finance division Develop and maintain a departmental structure and operating procedures to meet the demand for services provided Make timely decisions to ensure effective day-to-day operations Establish and monitor financial operating performance standards for the network Ensure strong financial controls are in place to maintain financial viability and integrity Assess financial systems to ensure efficient and effective operations Establish timely and effective communications with staff to keep them aware of corporate initiativesRequirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with DCAA regulations and standards Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Solid understanding of all Accounting Functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of Budget ProcessesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
