We are currently seeking a full-time Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who will embody the passion and commitment required to deliver the ultimate care for our participants. You will be scheduled to work Sunday to Thursday from 8:00am-4:00pm. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree and CTRS preferred.
Experience in medical chart documentation including assessments, care planning, MDS and progress notes.
Computer skills required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Documentation, planning, organizing, facilitation and promoting Therapeutic Recreation and treatment programs.
The ability to discern the needs and behaviors of sub-acute/ rehab patients.
Able to a ddresses/accommodate the age-specific physical, psychosocial and emotional changes in residents when planning programs and/or delivering care appropriately, as they differ from those of the elderly.
Demonstrates ability to originate new and unique programs.
Capable of transporting residents to and from recreation areas.
Demonstrates good time management skills.
