Job DescriptionRole Overviews: Patient Authorization Specialist:
Lead the insurance authorization process for services requested by clinical staff, including chemotherapy, radiology, physical therapy, and drug therapy.
Collaborate with insurance carriers to ensure timely submission of necessary documentation for payment.
Communicate updates and changes in insurance reimbursement practices with clinical teams.
Provide ongoing communication during the authorization process to inform clinical staff of outcomes.
Counsel patients about their insurance coverage and available payment options.
Patient Registration Specialist:
Contact patients prior to appointments to collect demographic and financial information.
Discuss financial options and provide information on hospital billing procedures.
Advise patients on their financial responsibilities and available options.
Key Qualifications:
1-3+ years of experience working in patient finance / healthcare setting with patients on financial or insurance related items
Epic experience required
Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Core Skills:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication, able to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving circumstances and work independently.
Patient-centric approach and ability to handle difficult interactions.

Location: 650 Commack Rd, Commack NY 11725
Schedule: 3-4 times a week and the schedule varies between 9am and 7pm Monday thorough Friday, including a Saturday rotation
Pay Range:$25.65 - $38.42 Hourly
