Hiring LPNs on Long Island Description-Engages in patient care within the legal boundaries of practical nursing, under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).-Contributes to the creation and execution of care plans for geriatric patients, supervised by an RN.-Provides patient care as directed by an RN, adhering to departmental protocols. May be assigned roles such as team leader, primary nurse, or charge nurse, under RN supervision.-Oversees and manages non-professional staff as designated.-Monitors, documents, and communicates patient information in line with departmental policies.-Participates in unit nursing activities and interdisciplinary team efforts.-Administers medications and performs nursing tasks according to departmental guidelines.-Attends in-service training and participates in departmental committees as required.-Performs various related duties as instructed.
