Perform setups involving the use of chucks, fixtures, face plates, arbors, and attachments for each machine. Operate preset tools, select speeds, and feeds according to material type and finish requirements. Change and replace broken or dulled tools as needed. Interpret drawings, sketches, process sheets, and specifications to determine operational sequence. Conduct first piece and periodic checks on all operations to maintain dimensional accuracy. Apply protective coatings on finished parts and maintain machines by replenishing coolant and lubricants. Collaborate with Programmers, Group Leaders, Methods Engineers, and Management to standardize work processes and procedures. Edit CNC machine code as necessary and work with computers and software. Maintain records of work performed, materials processed, and program changes. Deburr parts and load/unload multiple station fixtures during machine operations. Ability to work well in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to assist others. Attention to detail and accuracy. High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 - 2 years of experience in Mill Machining or equivalent educational/training certificate. Knowledge of GD&T is a plus. Ability to work with both metric and imperial measurements.
