The Staff Accountant is responsible for the general accounting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and assisting in the preparation of the company's financial statements.Direct hire, Cheektowaga, up to 75K DOEESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in the timely and accurate month end close of the general ledger, including: prepare and record journal entries
Preparation of accurate monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts in corporate ledgers
Development of process improvement initiatives designed to enhance the level of service provided by the accounting department to the Company
Assist in preparation and distribution of the monthly financial reporting package for executive management team
Responsible for treasury management and cash reporting, which includes: maintaining the corporate cash accounts balances on a daily basis
Assist with annual income tax return preparation
Administer customer project billings including: invoice creation, collection of receivables and management of ongoing change orders and project-level updatesQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required
CPA or CMA beneficial, but not required
Public accounting or manufacturing cost experience preferred, but not required
1-2 years of progressive accounting experience
