Description We are in search of a Credit Clerk to join our team in CHEEKTOWAGA, New York. This role is vital in our Controller function within the telecom industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accuracy of accounts, ensuring the integrity of financial records, and handling customer credits and collections. This role offers an exciting opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee day-to-day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, and customer credits and collections Implement and maintain systems to safeguard assets Prepare monthly reporting packages, including comparative reports of operating results and financial position and variance explanations Work closely with department heads in forecasting their department’s outputs and overheads Provide guidance and analysis to manufacturing leaders as required Prepare annual audit work papers for the outside auditors Review intercompany billings and ensure timely payment Assist in preparing the annual corporate budgets Handle special projects as required Utilize skills in Month End Close and Manage Budgets to effectively perform duties. Requirements Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position. Proficiency in Month End Close is required. Experience in managing budgets is essential. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in financial software and databases. Familiarity with financial regulations and standards. Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial planning software. Strong understanding of business strategy and metrics. Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work as part of a team and build team relationships. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Strong presentation skills. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proven ability to manage and lead a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Strong organizational and planning skills.
