Description Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a well-established company in the Cheektowaga area that is hiring a Benefits Specialist to their team! The ideal Benefits Specialist candidate will have a strong background in HR and benefits administration, with a passion for helping employees understand and enroll in their benefits. This Benefits Specialist role is essential in ensuring employees receive the support and information they need regarding their benefits options.Key Responsibilities

Facilitate comprehensive orientation sessions for new employees, providing an overview of benefits packages and assisting with initial enrollment.

Guide employees through the benefits enrollment process, answering questions and providing detailed information about plan options, coverage, and eligibility.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits enrollment and changes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, delivering clear and concise information to employees.

Address and resolve any benefits-related issues or concerns employees may have, liaising with insurance providers and other external partners as needed.

Stay informed about changes in benefits regulations and ensure company compliance with all relevant laws and policies.

Prepare and distribute benefits materials, including enrollment guides, plan summaries, and communication updates.

Work closely with the HR team and other departments to support overall HR initiatives and improve employee satisfaction with benefits offerings.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits administration.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other ancillary benefits.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly. Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Proactive and resourceful in resolving employee issues and concerns related to benefits.
