HOME HEALTH CARE WORKER
I am currently searching for a home health aide for myself. I am a self-directing 36-year-old quadriplegic man located in the town of Olive. Job duties include housecleaning, laundry, helping me transfer in and out of bed, dressing, showering, and helping me with my bathroom needs. This is a great opportunity for a nursing student to get hands on experience working with a disabled person.
The ideal candidate is reliable, open-minded, can be flexible with shifts and is hard-working, learns easily and can carry on a conversation. There is no prior experience necessary, I can talk anybody through any part of my care. Must have a valid drivers license so I can get to appointments, shopping and social activities. I run 12 hour shifts, Days (8a to 8p) and Nights (8p to 8a). I am currently looking for individuals for both Day and Night Shifts. Pay is through the Consumer Directed Personal Assistant program.
