The Dental Assistant performs a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Assisting the dentist, prepare patients for treatment, taking x-rays, scheduling dental appointments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides chair-side assistance when necessary, during dental treatment.
Assures that dental record, medical record, and encounter form are available for the dentist or dental hygienist.
Prepares patient for examinations and treatment, including placement of bib and instruments for procedure.
Maintains supplies and instruments in all dental procedures.
Performs laboratory and x-ray tasks under supervision of dentist.
Make appointments for patients. Verifies the need for return appointments.
Greets visitors and patients in a courteous, prompt, and friendly manner.
Determines their needs, checks appointments, and gives appropriate information.
If designated as responsible for Biohazardous Waste removal, complete online training and receive certificate prior to completing this task.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Superior customer service skills and experience
Passionate about providing high quality care.
Minimum 1 Year of Dental Assistant Experience
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Engage in learning and continuous quality improvement
Outstanding verbal and written communications, with a culturally diverse patient and staff population
