Description Our client, a division highly successful specialty publicly traded manufacturing company seeks to hire a Plant Controller.This Plant Controller position requires 7 plus years of experience either from a manufacturing organization or from Public Accounting with clients in the manufacturing sector.Duties of the Plant Controller position will include:Financial Planning and Analysis:

Develop and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the plant.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance compared to budget and forecasts.

Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial goals align with overall business objectives.

Cost Accounting:

Implement and maintain effective cost accounting systems to track and analyze production costs.

Work closely with the production team to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Provide regular financial reports and analysis to plant and corporate leadership.

Compliance and Controls:

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and company policies.

Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory accounting processes and provide insights into inventory levels, valuation, and turnover.

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels.

Strategic Decision Support:

Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights and analysis for strategic decision-making.

Evaluate capital investment proposals and provide financial recommendations.
