Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our team on Saturdays. This is a contract position with the potential for ongoing weekend assignments. We have a special preference for individuals with a background in law enforcement or extensive security experience.
Responsibilities:
Surveillance and Monitoring: Maintain a vigilant presence and monitor premises through regular patrols, CCTV systems, and other surveillance methods.
Access Control: Enforce access control policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Report Writing: Document all incidents, activities, and observations in detailed written reports.
Collaboration: Coordinate with local law enforcement if necessary and liaise with other security personnel to ensure a seamless security operation.
Requirements:
Experience: Retired law enforcement officers or individuals with several years of security experience are strongly preferred.
Certifications: Possession of NYS Guard Card or NYS Armed Guard Card is mandatory for consideration.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Reliability: Punctuality and commitment to fulfilling weekend shifts consistently.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
