POSITION SUMMARY: Line Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment involved in labeling, filling, and packaging bottles containing hazardous materials. A Line Operator will prioritize safety, efficiency, and accuracy while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This temporary position provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate, monitor, and maintain bottle filling, labeling, and packaging equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling and filling hazardous materials safely.
Inspect bottles for quality assurance, ensuring correct labeling and fill levels.
Prepare finished goods for shipment, including sealing, boxing, and palletizing.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Accurately complete production records and documentation as required.
Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.
Report any safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues promptly.
Comply with all OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety guidelines and procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in manufacturing or handling hazardous materials is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:
Must be able to wear required PPE, including gloves, flame resistant clothing, respirators, etc.
Willingness to undergo training in hazardous material handling, emergency response, and equipment operation.
A physical guard and visible signage are in place to warn against bringing metals (e.g., tools, jewelry) within one foot of the sealer during operation.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
