We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual Sous Chef to join our culinary team via our BookSmart app.The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, and will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and fostering clear communication across a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen supervision
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and timely service
Translate recipes, instructions, and kitchen communications between languages as needed
Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain food cost controls
Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations
Step into the Head Chef’s role during absences, maintaining smooth kitchen operations
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and guests in both languages
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
