This includes the oversight of the practice management function of the physicians employed through Catholic Health (CH) and/or its Captive PC. The continued growth of employed physicians and physician leaders is part of an overall organizational strategy. The VP serves as a key leader in matters relating to the organization's physician enterprise. Works closely with medical leadership on aligning and integrating physician practices within the organization and alignment with system wide processes and initiatives. The VP provides, leadership, guidance and oversight. Responsibilities include practice acquisition, physician contracting, compensation structures, financial and operational performance, productivity, regulatory compliance, and assists with recruitment initiatives. The incumbent will work to enhance productivity and financial performance in a manner consistent with the mission and goals. Critical to the success of this role is working collaboratively with Catholic Health administration, hospital administration and medical staff leadership to effectively maximize efficiency of operational and clinical components of patient care. The position serves on the Physician Enterprise Council working closely with senior leadership to implement strategies that enhance market share and overall position in the market through its physician network. The position will support the senior executive efforts to acquire existing physician enterprises and transition them to an employment or other contractual relationship. Through collaboration with the medical leadership the Vice President will be responsible for forging relationships to streamline triage and care of patients according to evidence based practice and a patient centric model.The VP will be accountable for financial and quality performance, market share growth, progress assessment, and evaluation activities for the employed physician practices. As such the position encompasses the continuum of care and includes direct-indirect and matrix relationships, involvement in the assessment and impact of care for patients admitted for diagnostic or treatment services.Responsibilities:EDUCATION

BA/BS required

MBA, MHA, MSM, or MSHA required

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in healthcare management with knowledge of healthcare administration, finance, regulatory and reporting requirements required

Knowledge of physician practice operations, recruitment, physician contracting, operations, financial management, coding & billing, legal and regulatory standards required as applicable to this role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITY

Knowledge of physician compensation models, productivity measures, and industry benchmarking

Knowledge of contracts and contractual arrangements related to clinical services and physician hospital relationships to include employment, professional services, call agreements, service agreements, and management agreements

Knowledge of laws and regulation governing physician hospital business relationship's such as but not limited to Stark, Anti - kickback, Antifraud & Abuse

Knowledge of electronic health record, clinical decision support, meaningful use requirements, PCMH, clinical integration, and quality standards

Knowledge of the Ethical and Religious directives for Catholic Health Care Services and the associated clinical and corporate policies, procedures, and practices

Ability to manage complex problems and difficult situations

Ability to manage effective relationships and collaboration with a wide range of individuals from professional to front line, as well as members of the community
