Description Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is in search of a General Manager to join their client's team in Buffalo/Niagara, New York. This role is centered around the food processing industry and requires daily production and general management skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility, focusing on the management of staff and ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of products.Responsibilities:

Oversee daily production operations and ensure they align with company standards and goals.

Implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and product quality.

Cultivate a bilingual communication environment to foster relations with a diverse workforce.

Monitor and manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.

Replace and manage the transition of key managerial roles as required.

Liaise with different departments to ensure smooth operations across the company.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Develop and implement operational strategies and goals.

Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently.

Maintain an open line of communication with staff and upper management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Food Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the fresh produce industry or food production sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in the food production industry.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage complex operational budgets.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
