Our US Northeast Engineering Design Organization (EDO) is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Engineering Manager. In this role, your primary goal will be to help grow and develop our existing multi-discipline design team to support our growing US Operations. Additionally, you will contribute to and be responsible for all engineering aspects of multi-discipline projects in various markets and business including: Water (Water/Wastewater Treatment, Linear Water, Water Resources) Energy and Resources (Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Future and Renewable Energy, Industrial Manufacturing), Environmental (Solid Waste, Landfill, CAR), with potential future work in Transportation (Highways, Roads, Bridges, Rail, Transit). Our projects range from large to small and for all our market areas. This position can be based in any one of our Northeast regional offices. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of responsibilities including: Assist and support NE EDO Business Group Leader with operations of NE EDO and driving to monitor and meet KPI's as needed, including utilization, staffing, workshare, coordinate technical capabilities and delivery Lead the growth and management of the multi-disciplinary engineering team while growing opportunities and capacity Be the functional manager for a team of technical professionals and manage their day-to-day activity Champion relationships with internal GHD clients along with the development of new clients Support markets and business groups with their client relations and work along with them to develop new client relationships Work with our business development team and pursuit leaders to support the pursuit of design projects. Provide thought leadership, regulatory oversight and mentorship to your team and your clients, both internal and external Management and representation of external and internal client projects to regulators and other partners including interest groups and the public Collaborate with the NE EDO management team and other disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, process, and electrical, etc.) to develop, manage, and deliver projects Communicate and work with multi-discipline project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards Preparation of technical documents including drawings, technical specifications, scope of work, bill of materials, schedules, and related contract documents Coordination of design (cross-functionally) with engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, structural, electrical, etc.), vendors, and outside design team members. Provide direction to and coordination with internal designer's/drafter's team Preparation of technical memorandums, reports, budgets, cost estimates, and correspondence. Technical review and quality control of design processes, procedures, tools, drawings and documents. Coordinate Professional sealing of technical documents Support of construction activities including review of submittals and shop drawings, evaluation of proposals, payments, and change orders, periodic fieldwork and travel including construction inspection and contractor liaison/oversight as needed Engage in the development of office procedures and standards and facilitate their implementation into projects Supervising and mentoring of staff and be responsible for staff workload and utilization of the team, and also will be responsible for implementing resource planning with EDO management and business groups Assistance in proposals and business development Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline Registered Professional Engineer, preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership position 15+ years of experience in related consulting and design environment with proven experience with large and complex project delivery including FEED, Design Build, Municipality projects, industrial projects, and other types of projects Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization in a collaborative fashion Demonstrate leadership capabilities in the areas of personnel management, decision making, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building skills Strong business acumen and commercial skills Agile self-starter with a proactive, strategic, and creative approach Exceptional client engagement and relationship skills Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a demanding consulting environment Ability to work under pressure, meet required deadlines, and manage and organize processes and procedures Willingness and ability to travel as needed If you're interested in pursuing this opportunity, please submit your application below!Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 based on experienceAs a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
