DescriptionJoin a great team in a great location in our newly air-conditioned plant in Cheektowaga, NY. We are in need of a Warehouse Associate on 3rd Shift.The Warehouse Associate handles the shipping and receiving in our warehouse. This is a temp to hire role.Rate: $16.50 to $17.00 / hour plus 3 rd shift differential.Hours: Sunday through Thursday: 11PM to 7AMProAmpac offers a full benefits package!

Job Responsibilities:

Read shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

Sort and place materials on racks or shelves according to a predetermined sequence.

Fill orders for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute inbound materials.

Wrap pallets to be shipped out.

Load and unload inbound and outbound freight.

Sweep up warehouse and dock areas, organize work areas, and keep supplies stocked.

Maintain work area per food safety requirements.

Other projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

High school or equivalent education.

Minimum of 1-year warehouse is required.

Forklift certification is required.

Computer skills are required for data entry.

High level of physical activity, including standing for long periods of time, lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs.

Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal personnel and external carriers.

Ability to read, comprehend and write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or fellow employees.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Work in a manufacturing setting utilizing computers, dollies, forklifts, hand-held measuring devices or scanners, hand tools, safety knives, packaging equipment, pallet jacks, standard safety equipment.
