Director of Housekeeping and Laundry
The Director of Housekeeping, is responsible for the overall management of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department .You will manage the departments within the established objectives, standards, policies and procedures while executing the job description in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. You will be responsible for the operation of the department, ensuring it remains within the approved budget, while providing the facility with the maximum outcomes. Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Responsibilities
Maintains an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition
Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered
Maintains the departments in an “inspection ready” state at all times, assuring the departments operates within federal, state, and local regulations
Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees.
Assign equipment to staff; monitor daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance.
Assist housekeepers as needed
Ensures that competency in the position is maintained by participating in Orientation, In-Service, and staff development training programs, as required
Conducts daily QA rounds/inspections to ensure current quality controls and methodologies are suitable and sustainable.
Position may require additional duties/responsibilities to be performed outside the scope outlined within this job description as needed by the Administrator
