To be considered, you must meet the minimum qualifications and provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.Candidates must have four years of experience examining, investigating or adjusting compensation, accident, liability or health insurance claims. A bachelor’s degree or higher may substitute for three years of this experience. An associate’s degree may substitute for two years of this experience. Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Associate WC Examiner and direct guidance of the Senior WC Examiner, the WC Examiner functions as a Workgroup member. The incumbent of this position must demonstrate a good knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation Law and the Rules & Regulations, Claims procedures and the Claims Information System (CIS). Duties will include, but are not limited to: Examining and managing work queues in CIS; Identifying issues and evaluating, preparing and referring cases to the most effective resolution path, such as administrative determination, proposed decision or formal hearing; Handling telephone calls received via the Call Center.
