Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain Natural Gas compressors and other related equipment.
Preventive maintenance, correcting equipment deficiencies, and keeping records.
Knowledge of Waukesha or Caterpiller engines is highly desired.
Maintain plant equipment including high pressure gas systems so that it operates reliably, safely and in keeping with environmental permits
Open communication with management on status of repairs and maintenance
Maintain shop and field workplace by:
Ensuring a clean, safe work environment at all times.
Identifying and maintaining and inventory of high-use, common maintenance items
Controlling costs of in-house and outsourced maintenance or repairs through use of warranty and vendor evaluation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions
Knowledge of computer
Intermediate knowledge of hand tools/power tools
Knowledge of CAT Waukesha, Ariel and superior compressor programs
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and random DOT alcohol, drug screenings, and background check
Basic knowledge of electrical such as troubleshooting and/or replacing faulty electrical parts and components AC/DC systems/Air brakes
Physical demands
Wear personnel protective equipment as required
Demonstrated ability to perform outside and indoor duties including walking, standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting kneeling, reaching, sitting, lifting, grasping, pushing, and manual dexterity
Working Conditions:
May be exposed to loud noise level with proper hearing protection
Work in and environment with dirt, grease and dust
