Kitchen & Laundry Trainee (entry-level)

Sanico is a leading family and veteran-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies and professional cleaning equipment across Upstate New York and Northeast PA. We are looking for a Kitchen & Laundry Trainee to join our growing company. This is a new entry-level position and we will provide ON-THE-JOB TRAINING to help you develop and grow in this highly technical role.As part of our growing Kitchen Chemical Division, the Trainee will support Sanico's field-based techs who provide technical support for laundry and kitchen customers. Shadowing the company's Service Techs, the trainee will learn how to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot commercial dish machines, three-base sinks and programmable industrial laundry equipment.Duties/ResponsibilitiesShadow and support Sanico Field Service Techs, daily ride-alongs to customer sitesLearn how to conduct recurring preventive maintenance checks ("PMs") for kitchenand industrial laundry customersSupport the installation of towel/tissue/hand soap dispensers and chemical dilution control systems as necessaryQualificationsWork ethic, track record of attendance, willingness to learn REQUIREDPrior experience with dish machine & laundry maintenancegreat, but not requiredElectrical experience great, but not requiredable to read and understand wiring schematicsexperience with single phase/3-phase electric (110V, 220V)canread a meter to check voltagePlumbing experiencegreat, but not requiredPVC drainagelight soldering/PexBasic computer literacy TEACHABILITY, COACHABILITY requiredActive, clean driver's license requiredPhysical RequirementsIndependently and manually lift equipment exceeding 60 pounds safelyFrequent climbing into/out of service vanAble to maneuver up/downstairs, ramps, etc. at service locationsHandle exposure to weather conditions as the season dictatesJob TypeFULL TIME, Monday-Friday with possibility of occasional support of off-hour emergency call.LocationPosition is field-based.
