You'll feel a sense of purpose knowing that you're helping people stay healthy and happy.As an Order Entry Technician you will be accountable for enabling healthy lives for our customers by receiving, interpreting, and maintaining orders placed through the long term care pharmacy. Customers can count on you as a knowledgeable, courteous and helpful point of contact for their pharmacy care. Typical responsibilities associated with this position are:
Read and review prescriptions; enter prescription data into the pharmacy filling system
Interpret medical abbreviations
Troubleshoot orders to obtain missing information or clarification
Record communication concerning orders within patient records
Maintain electronic documentation related to orders within patient profiles
Provide customer service to callers regarding orders
Claim billing and adjudication to third party payers

Previous work experience in pharmacy setting required, experience with order entry preferred
Active Pharmacy Technician Certification or postsecondary education in pharmacy technician program preferred
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and handle other computer components
Ability to utilize QS1 pharmacy software for long term care
Ability to read and decipher written medical documents with speed and accuracy
Salary Description$16 to $19 per hour
