Req Number 104631Job DescriptionFacilitates orientation, staff development and continuing education for nursing team members.Job Responsibility1.Provides orientation to new nursing team members.Assesses learning needs and styles to ensure optimum effectiveness of orientation.Assigns nursing tasks to nursing trainees to provide experience and competence in delivery of care.Observes, documents, and provides feedback on nursing trainees progress through orientation and communicates with appropriate clinical leaders.2.Facilitates staff development activities for current nursing team members.Receives feedback from nursing leadership on staff learning needs and implements appropriate staff development activities.Educates, guides and provides feedback to nursing team members. participating in staff development.3.Provides mandated in-services to nursing team members for all tours of duty, as required.Provides education related to new/updated nursing procedures, equipment, patient communications, etc.4.Participates in appropriate clinical service meetings and shares information regarding current and planned staff development and continuing education program offerings.

Performs related duties, as required.

Job QualificationBachelor's Degree in Nursing, required.
