Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in BAY SHORE, New York. This role involves handling accounts payable tasks in our office, processing checks, and using Microsoft Excel. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Conduct thorough check runs as part of the payment process Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Process and code invoices for payment Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records Handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable Resolve any issues or discrepancies in invoices and accounts payable Use QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP systems for various accounting tasks Maintain a high level of accuracy in invoice processing and other financial tasks Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices Skill in Data Entry and Invoice Processing Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Oracle Familiarity with QuickBooks and SAP Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
